There are days when we find ourselves buried beneath the weight of life’s challenges. Whether it’s the demands of work, the mounting bills, or the unexpected setbacks, it can feel overwhelming. As women, we are often called daughters of God, but sometimes, we try to navigate life's journey without fully leaning on our Father. We become “grown,” right? But in God’s eyes, we never truly outgrow Him. His view of us is eternal, and there’s always room to grow in His purpose.
I’m here to encourage you today to stop viewing your life as a 50/50 split. Don’t see it as a balance of obligations—half doing it your way and half trusting God. Instead, embrace your life as a full 100% commitment to God’s plan, without folding under pressure.
You see, there will be times when the enemy tries to lure you into living a life of doubt, confusion, and half-heartedness. He knows your value, your God-given purpose, and he wants to keep you from fully committing to God’s plan. There’s no time for this, sis.
God’s timing is often the complete opposite of our own, but that doesn’t mean He’s missed something important. His timing isn’t about meeting your deadlines—it’s about His perfect, eternal plan for your life, which goes far beyond what you can imagine.
I think about those rainy days, especially when I’m driving and the weather makes it hard to see clearly. I’ve been there, approaching a green light, only to watch it turn yellow, then red. In those moments, my best move is to stop, wait for the light to turn green again, and proceed carefully. It’s a lot like waiting in God’s seasons of stillness. You see the “red light,” and you long for it to turn green, eager to reach your destination. But in those moments, God is focused on the journey—not just your destination. He sees your character, your growth, and your obedience, much more than He sees your personal accomplishments.
Remember: God’s delays are not His denials.
Let this season of waiting become a time where your heart grows closer to God. It might feel like a pause, but it’s a purposeful moment of refinement. And trust me, someday that light will turn green again, and you’ll move forward with purpose.
Here are five Bible verses that encourage and inspire waiting on God:
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Lamentations 3:25-26 (NIV)
“The Lord is good to those who hope in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
Micah 7:7 (NIV)
“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”
Psalm 130:5 (NIV)
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”
These verses remind us to trust in God’s perfect timing, knowing that while we wait, He is working in and through us.
