Strong Faith in the Ordinary

Encourages taking "your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-
work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering".
Romans 12:1(MSG)
Each day brings its ups and downs. Yet every day also carries grace and the quiet invitation to be content with what it is. Contentment does not mean adding more to the day or taking something away from it—it means accepting the ordinary moments God has placed before us.
It looks like teaching a child how to spell their name, reading a book with someone you love, answering missed calls, or updating your email list. These moments may seem small, but they are part of the sacred rhythm of life.
Life often asks us to maintain, to keep going, to live faithfully in what feels ordinary. Over time, these tasks can begin to feel secondary, as though they are merely “what life is.” But we must remember—this is a life we get to live in Christ.
In the ordinary, present your sleeping, your eating, your work, and your everyday responsibilities to the Lord as an offering. There is deep joy in knowing that God desires to meet us right there—not only in the best seasons, but also in the ones that feel overwhelming, stressful, or uncertain.
God can do something holy with the offerings that feel small, heavy, or unnoticed. So today, pause and ask yourself: What offering can I give my Father God right where I am?
This is the beginning of learning to live each day with contentment in the ordinary.
Questions for Reflections
1. What ordinary moment in my day can I intentionally offer to God as an act of worship today?
2. Where have I struggled to feel content, and how might God be inviting me to meet Him in that
place?
Prayer
Lord,
We thank You for each day. Every day is a gift. Today, we step into Your heart with joy. I repent for the times I have not offered You the ordinary moments of my life. Teach me to lean into Your heart’s desires rather than my own. Help me to live fully surrendered to You, even in the simple things. In Jesus’ name, amen.
